Tyler Stewart was an Officer for the Flagstaff Police Department in Arizona who was tragically killed in the line of duty on December 27th, 2014. Officer Stewart had been with the department for just under a year when he was investigating a domestic violence complaint on the day of his death. Tyler was speaking with the suspect when the suspect suddenly pulled a gun and shot Officer Stewart multiple times. Sadly, Officer Stewart succumbed to his injuries shortly after being rushed to the medical center. The suspect took his own life after shooting Officer Stewart. Officer Stewart truly loved being a Police Officer and came to work everyday excited and ready to serve his community. The nickname given to him by his squad was 'Stewy' and he will be forever remembered and missed by his family, the Flagstaff Police Department and his community.

Officer Stewart comes from a long line of family that has served and are currently serving as Police Officers throughout the State of Arizona that include his father who is a Sergeant for the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
